About me.
I’m a freelance journalist, writer, and researcher from London.
Most of my journalism examines the influence of technology on conflict, politics, and culture around the world.
I’ve reported from the ground across Europe and the Middle East for over 20 major media organisations including BBC News, WIRED, and The Guardian.
I trained as a multimedia journalist at News Associates in London, graduating with the top grade in 2021. I’ve also trained to operate in hostile environments with support from the Rory Peck Trust.
In 2025 I was selected by MHP Group as one of its ‘30 to Watch’, winning in the technology category. I was also shortlisted in the international reporting category for the Wallace House Center for Journalists’ Livingston Awards.
In 2021 I walked 450km across southern Iraq along the Shia pilgrim’s way from Basra to Karbala, for which the Royal Geographical Society awarded me a fellowship.
